The people that run Florence RV park are excellent. The facility is cleaned and easy to set up even if you're arriving at night. They should be proud of their hard work and excellent service to give to their patrons. ! Highly Recommend đź‘Ť
Very quiet camping spot even though it’s on 95. Decided to take a chance on this gem on our way from Florida to Virginia and I’m happy we did. The pool is clean, the pond out front is beautiful, the bathrooms are clean and the garbage is appropriately, a distance from sites. The staff at the front desk are super nice and have a great memory. We’re definitely using them when we make our trips south instead of going a bit inland. Saves time and money.
Over the past 7 years, we have traveled thousands of miles and been to many, many RV parks. Yesterday was a first in all of our travels. We arrived at 12:55 to find a sign on the door "out to lunch, be back at 1:30". There was a phone number so we called and were told that we couldn't pull into our site and had to wait for her to return. We proceeded to sit in our truck for 35 minutes, with it running because it was so hot, after driving for the past 5 hours with our 2 little dogs. There was NO reason to not let us go on to our site then go back to the office at 1:30! This was TERRIBLE customer service! The only good thing about this place is the convenience to I95. It is not worth $65 a night!! It's all dirt.... the pool had no tables or chairs around it. This is a $25 per night place at best. Do yourself a favor and don't stop here!
My husband and I had our radiator fan burn up. We were grounded. We were supposed to only stay one night and then head to Florida. I went to the front desk asking about getting an Uber since the parts store would not deliver. Both Tammy and the manager offered to go and pick up the part for our truck. They were so caring and kind and I can’t thank them enough. I felt like I got my Christmas miracle. We will be back.
Easy access off of Interstate 95. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Laundry room is very clean. Nice pond to watch the ducks and geese.
We were on the road back home to South Florida from Pennsylvania on Monday and wanted to find a RV park along the way that could accommodate our 35 ft. RV with 50 amp electric and a pull through site so that we wouldn't have to unhook our tow vehicle. When I called the park early in the afternoon and described what I was looking for Tammy was absolutely wonderful. She found a site that would work for us and, since we would be getting there after the office had closed, she left the information with a map to our site on the check-in board in front of the office. We were able to find our site easily, hook up the electric and get a good night's rest before hitting the road early the next morning.
I regret that we left the park before the office opened because I would have liked to thank Tammy in person.
It is really a beautiful park. Large spaces with good separation between the sites. Large trees so most of the sites are well shaded. I would definitely go back and spend more time and will definitely keep it at the top of my list for parks to stop at while traveling.
Camp ground very easy to get in and out of from the interstate making it a great place to stop while traveling. The spots were level but sandy/dirt. The shower/bath houses were very clean and well lighted. The neighboring camp spot was occupied with only a chair and an SUV that took up 1/2 of our camping spot. Because we were in and out it, it was not too big of a concern. If we were staying a few days our awning would have covered the hood of the suv. Typical Late check in with envelope and map made it easy to find our spot.
Nice campground for our convention in Florence. VERY helpful staff. Clean sites. Clean bathrooms. Great water pressure. Ok WIFI. Didn’t stream with it but on for light use. Great pool. We will come again.
